Intro to Cross Stitch

Learn the basics of cross stitch in this relaxed, beginner-friendly class designed to help you get started with confidence! This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of cross stitch, including how to read a pattern, understand thread types, start and end stitches, and create neat, even designs. 

This is a learning-focused class, so you won’t complete a full project, but you’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence to begin cross stitching on your own at home, along with a clear understanding of tools, techniques, and next steps for your stitching journey.

Meet the instructor!

Sue's youngest daughter, Aimee, has worked for the business since 2015. She is the CFO, head of human resources, manages Sue’s schedule, as well as, the many responsibilities that fall under ‘front of house’. Recently, Aimee has fallen in love with hand piecing through completion of many of Jen Kingwell's quilt designs, but follows in her mother's footsteps as a jack of all trades and master of embroidery. She's assisted Sue in many of her teaching endeavors, and is looking forward to teaching more classes on her own and continuing her own learning.

Please bring the following supplies to class: 

  • Caterpillar Cross Stitch Kit (Included in class) 
  • Scissors 

We will have items available for purchase during class, so no worries if you don’t have everything on this list!

  • Class is held in our Ohio Studio located at 3792 Boettler Oaks Dr, Green, OH 44685. 
  • Coffee and tea are provided, as well as use of our fridge and kitchen. Lunch will not be provided, please bring a bagged lunch or plan accordingly!
  • Supplies are available for purchase in-store during class if not purchased ahead of time.

Cancellation fees reflect the cost of registration, staff, instructor contracts, material acquisitions, and other services. This policy applies to all registrants, regardless of the reason for canceling. We encourage you to take our cancellation policies into consideration before registering for classes.

If you need to cancel your registration, you have the following options:

Transfer: 

Registrants who cancel their enrollment in a workshop held in our Ohio studio may make a one-time transfer to any other workshop held in our studio.

  • Transfers may be made either in the current workshop season, or any workshop in the following year. Transfers must be made more than 15 days prior to the workshop, and are subject to a 5% cancellation fee.

Refund:

If you prefer not to transfer your workshop registration, the following fees apply:

  • More than 30 days prior to the workshop, refund of your deposit minus a 20% cancellation fee.
  • Less than 30 days prior to the workshop, no refunds will be issued.

Redirect:

Registrants are able to send someone in their place into the workshop for no additional fee. In this case, no refunds will be issued, payment arrangements are the responsibility of the original registrant if needed.
