"H" Bag Workshop
Join us for a fun-filled workshop to make the stylish "H" Bag from Orange Dot Quilts! This versatile tote features a sturdy base and sleek wooden handles — the perfect combination of form and function. Whether you're carrying your latest craft project, running errands, or heading to the beach, this bag is sure to become your new everyday favorite.
With simple construction and lots of room for customization, the "H" Bag comes together quickly and is sew much fun to make! Whip one up for yourself or make a few for your crew — they make fantastic gifts too!
Students will have the choice to make a Regular or Jumbo bag in class.
Regular size: 16 x 13 x 8"

Meet the instructor!
Bonnie has been a part of the Sue Spargo community since 2017. She has been sewing and knitting her entire life, and became an avid quilter when her children were in middle school. Bonnie loves experimenting with new projects, learning new craft skills, and teaching others. She maintains that there isn't any scenario that can't be fixed with a cup of coffee and a hot glue gun. When she isn't in her sewing room, Bonnie enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering in her community, and being active in her church.
Each workshop registration includes wooden handles and a wooden base for your chosen size: Regular (16 x 13 x 8") or Jumbo (18 x 16 x 9"). You will also need to bring:
- "H" Bag Pattern
- 1-1/3 yd main fabric (canvas, linen, or other mid-weight fabrics work well!)
- 1-1/3 yd lining fabric
- 1/3 yd accent fabric for base
- 1 yd Soft & Stable
- Sewing machine with neutral thread
- Sewing pins
- Scissors
- Bagged lunch
Cancellation fees reflect the cost of registration, staff, instructor contracts, material acquisitions, and other services. This policy applies to all registrants, regardless of the reason for canceling. We encourage you to take our cancellation policies into consideration before registering for classes.
If you need to cancel your registration, you have the following options:
Transfer:
Registrants who cancel their enrollment in a workshop held in our Ohio studio may make a one-time transfer to any other workshop held in our studio.
- Transfers may be made either in the current workshop season, or any workshop in the following year. Transfers must be made more than 15 days prior to the workshop, and are subject to a 5% cancellation fee.
Refund:
If you prefer not to transfer your workshop registration, the following fees apply:
- More than 30 days prior to the workshop, refund of your deposit minus a 20% cancellation fee.
- Less than 30 days prior to the workshop, no refunds will be issued.
Redirect:
Registrants are able to send someone in their place into the workshop for no additional fee. In this case, no refunds will be issued, payment arrangements are the responsibility of the original registrant if needed.
