These Nona Glass Head Pins come in nine colors and are made in Hiroshima, Japan. Hiroshima's artisanal skills have a history of over 300 years. The tip of the pin is repeatedly cut and polished to give it a sharp, moderate flexibility and to allow smooth weaving through fabric. The glass head is slightly larger so that it is easier to pickup and hold. The glass beads, decorated with Japanese colors reminiscent of various vegetable dyes, look like small jewels. The pins depicted on the box are life-size.
