Sue draws much of her inspiration from nature, rather often being inspired by the everyday juxtapositions created at the crossroads of the natural world and human culture. This year, for "Bloomer,” Sue has taken her inspiration from the fresh cut floral arrangements she so often creates from her garden, which illuminate her home. Sue is going to open her tool chest, literally and figuratively, to share some of her favorite tips, tricks, and tools used to create a dynamic quilt. Incorporating a number of different textiles and embroidery threads, “Bloomer” will feature a grand central floral arrangement, bordered with colorful, rare blooms. This BOM is an education and technique-driven program, utilizing a number of tools and stitching notions Sue relies on to create her signature look. This project will be well worth the effort and wall space!
⭑ If you've always wished you could take a class with Sue, this is the BOM is for you! BOM 2025 is full of techniques that are generally unique to Sue's in-person classes. Tools such as yo-yo makers, looms, stamps, crochet hooks, etc., will be required, if needed, at an additional cost. This is going to be a one-of-a-kind program!

The Spargo sisters, Aimee and Kelly, have joined together to make something truly special. Drawing inspiration from one of Sue’s little pleasures in life, birds, the Spargo Sisters have come up with a design to honor Sue’s arrival into Grandma-hood! Aptly titled "Birdie," named for Grandma herself, will be a little quilt bursting with color and charm! Our BOM Lite is a pared-down project, set to a smaller scale than Sue’s BOM Classic. It will feature more basic techniques and limited embroidery stitches and is geared towards either beginners looking for a manageable way to start or those looking for a less demanding project. There will be a mystery border and additional birdlife added throughout the year! This will be a must-make little quilt!
