Join us for a fun and creative tie-dye T-shirt class where you’ll learn the basics of folding, twisting, and dyeing techniques to create your own one-of-a-kind wearable artwork.  Perfect for beginners and all ages, this hands-on workshop includes step-by-step instruction, all materials and dyes, and a blank T-shirt ready to customize with vibrant colors and unique patterns.  Participants will explore classic designs like spirals, stripes, and bursts while enjoying a relaxed, upbeat atmosphere that encourages creativity and self-expression. Leave with a freshly dyed masterpiece and the skills to continue tie-dyeing at home.

Meet the instructor!

Jason is the mind behind the Dye Studio and our bright, saturated hand dyed fabrics.  He is Sue’s son and has been with the business since 2013.  Amongst a number of other things, Jason manages the Dye Studio & Sue’s publishing.  Jason has been dyeing for over twenty years, specializing in wool dyeing- but he never missing an opportunity to try a new method on a new material! 

Jason has done extensive research and experimentation with natural dyeing and eco printing techniques, bringing these fantastic textiles to our website, shop and wool clubs.  He is a wealth of knowledge, and enjoys the science as much as the results.

In his down time Jason enjoys cooking, art & craft, houseplants, dogs & fly fishing.

Dye appropriate clothing

Provided Supplies: T-shirt & dyes!

  • Class is held in our Ohio Studio located at 3792 Boettler Oaks Dr, Suite B, Uniontown, OH 44685. 
  • Coffee and tea are provided, as well as use of our fridge and kitchen. Lunch will not be provided, please bring a bagged lunch or plan accordingly!
  • Supplies are available for purchase in-store during class if not purchased ahead of time.

Cancellation fees reflect the cost of registration, staff, instructor contracts, material acquisitions, and other services. This policy applies to all registrants, regardless of the reason for canceling. We encourage you to take our cancellation policies into consideration before registering for classes.

If you need to cancel your registration, you have the following options:

Transfer:

Registrants who cancel their enrollment in a workshop held in our Ohio studio may make a one-time transfer to any other workshop held in our studio.

  • Transfers may be made either in the current workshop season, or any workshop in the following year. Transfers must be made more than 30 days prior to the workshop, and are subject to a 5% cancellation fee.

Refund:

If you prefer not to transfer your workshop registration, the following fees apply:

  • More than 60 days prior to the workshop, refund of your deposit minus a 20% cancellation fee.
  • Less than 60 days prior to the workshop, no refunds will be issued.

Redirect:

Registrants are able to send someone in their place into the workshop for no additional fee. In this case, no refunds will be issued, payment arrangements are the responsibility of the original registrant if needed.
