Loop Easy
Meet the Loop Easy! This Creative Stitching Tool helps you create perfect, consistent loops each and every time.
Each Loop Easy set includes three templates with stepped edges for creating loops in a variety of sizes. The smallest template increases in 1/8" increments, the middle in 3/16" increments, and the largest in 1/4" increments.
One of our favorite ways to use the Loop Easy is to create beautiful dimensional leaves. Grab your Loop Easy and let’s make a Raised Leaf Stitch, found on page 175 of Creative Stitching!

Gather Your Supplies
- Loop Easy
- Embroidery Thread (we used Size 5 Lettuce Wrap Eleganza [EZM14])
- Coordinating needle to your thread (we used a Gold Eye Chenille #18)
- Wool or other project to stitch on (we are stitching on Cloud Hand Dyed Wool)
- Scissors
- Creative Stitching Book (Instructions for the Raised Leaf Stitch are found on page 175)
TIP: Like our Spoke Easy + Templates, the Loop Easy comes with a protective paper backing. Be sure to peel this off before use!
Getting Started
Once you have chosen your thread and appropriate needle, select your template size and step. If desired, mark a line to follow as a guide, using the edge of your Loop Easy as a ruler and the 1/8" markings for placement.
Bring your needle to the front of your work at the start of your line, or where you would like your leaf to be.
Take the needle to the back of the work through the same hole as the emerging thread and leave a loop. Insert your Loop Easy into the loop and pull the thread taut.
Rotate the template to the right, and bring your needle to the front of your work. It should be to the left of your Loop Easy and slightly below your first stitch.
Rotate the template to the left, taking your thread over it. Take your needle to the back of your work, right of the Loop Easy and slightly below the previous stitch.
Repeat this process until you have your desired amount of loops.
Slide your Loop Easy out of the loops, and use the smaller end of the template to help pull down and place the loops.
Now, use your finger to hold the loops in place. Bring your needle to the front of your work behind and at the base of the loops. Pull your needle through.
Take your needle to the back of your work at the base of the leaf to tack the loops down.
Now you have a leaf! Customize your stitch with a stem and get creative!
