Greater Houston Quilt Guild

I taught a great two day class embellishing all the elements in my Flower Vase pattern. All the students at the Greater Houston Quilt Guild created unique stems, flowers and leaves using fun ribbons, fabrics and embellishment threads. The tables were filled with wonderful colors and textures all begging to be used. We learned many stitches using a variety of thicknesses of threads.
I was taken very good care of and stayed with my wonderful friend Janice.
During my stay Janice and I were guests on the radio show Eco-Ology on KPFC with Pat Greer. It was great to share our stories about the craft of quilt making.

Janice Schindeler’s quilt created in my classes at Madeline Island School of the Arts. It was wonderful to see the finished piece at show and tell.
