I returned to teach for the second time at the unique store Stitch an hour outside of Toronto. Cathy and I were welcomed by the lovely Jocelyn who owns this very loved store on the historical main street of Jordon Village. I have never taught at a store that is so well put together with every detail so artistically thought out. Every angle you look in there is something else to drool about. Hence Cathy and I returned home with a few more projects to add to our collections.
I taught a three day appliqué and embellishment class to a fun group of enthusiastic ladies. We had a few different elements to layer and embellish each student creating a fun piece of their own. It was really nice to have the three days to concentrate on a small piece.
It was the first class that I used my new stitch book ‘Creative Stitching’ it was an absolute hit and an incredible resource for each student. I believe every student purchased a copy.
We stayed for an extra day and spent a wonderful day in Toronto shopping. Jocelyn was a great tour guide and took us to many of her favorite clothing stores. Needless to say we carrived home with many new items to add to our winter closet.
I returned home on Friday and made a quick turn around for Santa Barbara where I will be teaching all this week with my wonderful friend Tonye Phillips.
