Rocky Mountain Quilting Adventures – Steamboat Springs CO

Saturday, September 6th, 2014

Great students, host, coordinator, location and creative energy! What else could a girl want. I have just spent 4 days teaching at David Taylor’s retreat in the lovely town of Steamboat Springs, CO.
Each student started their own ‘Travel Journal’ quilt piecing and layering then appliquéing their story. We also spent a whole day learning a bunch of embellishing stitches.
Phyl brought her lovely Bird Dance quilt to share along with her circle pillow she started on my Alaskan Cruise.
Thanks to all my lovely students, David and Sheri for such an inspiring few days.

Life has been very full.
Filming for Craftsy, Kelly and I where fortunate to take a week long class from my friend Gwen Marston, I taught at The Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, MISA, Quilt Odyssey, To a private group in my studio, Wendy and I took my mom on an Alaskan Cruise and moving Aimee back in school as she is perusing a masters in Non Profit. As it has been hard to keep up I am going to highlight some of the colorful moments of the past few months.

Thanks for joining me on my journey. Today I arrived in a Steamboat Springs to teach for David Taylor at his Rocky Mountain Quilting Adventure. I am so looking forward to this creative week in the mountains.

Keep popping back to see the progress of my students ‘Travel Journals’
