Block of the Month 2014

I decided to do something a bit different this year by giving a little preview of what’s to come for the 2014 Block of the Month.  Sign ups are NOT yet posted, so please do not  go frantically searching for them just yet!  You will have to register/sign up on the website, and as of right now we are planning to post them tomorrow morning.  Make sure you are signed up to receive our newsletter- we will send out a blast as soon as the 2014 sign ups are posted.  As you know you will only see a black and white drawing.  The quilt is not made ahead of time (mom likes to use new/the most up to date fabrics, threads etc for her program), she literally is only a block or two ahead of you throughout the year… I don’t know how she does that- I obviously did not receive that trait from the gene pool.  So- I am not even going to give away the name until tomorrow, but below are a few pics of what has been chosen thus far-

Could you please advise if the BOM is doable for a beginner to these creative stitches? Will there be instructions on how to assemble the quilt? Are there any pictures or posts of previous BOM?
    Thanks!

      Hi Wendy
Yes- the BOM would be doable for a beginner. Sue’s book is used as a companion to the BOM and you can embellish as much or as little as you please. If you go to the store pate of the website- Kits- Quilts- you will see some of the previous BOM programs. (Earth n’ Twig, Imperial Blooms, Flowerbed etc.) If you click on the picture of the quilts some will have close ups of the embellishing. Hope this helps and hope to have you on the program!

Hi wendy, i am doing the BOM currently for the 2013 one.I have never done anything like this before. By having sues book of stitches assists in undertaking the monthly installments. It is alot of fun and very rewarding to see it gradually progress along.
