My New Book has arrived! Magnolia Size: 64” x 61” My Magnolia Quilt was inspired by home, garden and family and by the setting in which I experience those three things - the small towns of Ohio.  There is a town in Ohio called Magnolia.  It is a wonderful place which I drive through on my way to my friend Cathy’s home on one of Ohio’s lakes.  Magnolia has many old homes with lovely porches looking out onto colorful flower gardens. In designing the quilt I challenged myself to use many of my collection of textural fabrics and embellishments, as well as hand-dyed wool and cotton prints.  I was able to incorporate hand-dyed velvet, corduroy, taffeta silk and Japanese fabric as well as velvet ribbons, rickrack, hand-dyed yarn and beads. Folklore Size: 48” x 46” This quilt was inspired by my many visits to the Folk-art Museum in New York City as well as my experiences as a child growing up in two countries in Southern Africa. Urban Sacs For several years I have been working with a wonderful group of friends from Chardon, a small town in rural Ohio.  We meet once a month on Sunday mornings. Last year we decided to create some bags.  We aimed to make a set of useful sacs that would at the same time be cheerily colorful.  We also wanted them to be relatively simple to construct but have lots of interest. The results are now brought together in this book called - Urban Sacs.  We used upholstery fabric, wool, cottons and leather.  To add further interest the sacs were embellished with cotton and wool threads, beads and buttons.Book - $25.00 Quantity:

	#1 Vintage Duffel- Size: 21-¾“tall and 12” diameter This bag was inspired by a leather bag that my son Jason purchased in Ecuador. It is large in size and works well as an overnight bag. I added log cabin pockets on the base and an appliqué that circles the bag. Vintage Duffel was finished with a grommet and draw string closure and embellished with couching and buttons. #2 Journey Tote - Size: 13-½” wide by 14-½” long and 5-½” deep I always wanted a great travel bag to fill with my sewing and knitting projects as well as my journal. I designed the Journey Tote with all that in mind. It has many pockets as well as two different straps so it can either be hand carried or slung over your shoulder. Greta Needle Roll Size:   4” x 8” closed This is a tri-fold needle keeper 12” x 8” This pattern was designed for a class that I taught at Primitives of the Midwest in Missouri in June. It is made from hand dyed wool, velvet, dupioni silk and a Japanese polka dot fabric. On the inside is a velvet bird pincushion, needle case, two zipper pockets, a thread holder and scissor holder.
