Fifth Annual 2009 Block of the Month Club: Silk Road
Enrollment is now closed.

This quilt was inspired from Nomadic Embroidery. The finished size of the quilt will be approximately 48” x 48”and run from January to December.

The background will be wonderful eggplant color in different textures of hand dyed wool with an overall vine and flower design using different wools, silks, velvets and cottons.
It will be embellished with embroidery, ribbons and beading.

Due to difficult times for many of us I have kept the cost down and have not increased prices in 2009. The first month January will cost $45.00 with S&H at $7.50 then the following 11 months will be $34.00 a month with S&H at $6.50 and $8.50 in December. The finishing kit in December will include the backing, binding, batting and a hand-stamped label.

I am really looking forward to a new and exciting challenge in creating a very different quilt again next year. Many thanks to Wendy, Deb, Michelle, Cathy and Aimee for all your hard work in hand dyeing all the wool and fibers, cutting and assembling the kits for us to ship to you.

Kits will be mailed on the 15th of each month starting January 15, 2009. We will charge your credit card each month around the 15th.

The wool threads, cotton threads and notions that I use will be optional.  I will let you know monthly via email the thread colors used for that month.  You can either opt for me to automatically ship the threads to you each month or select the colors you would like.
Auto-ship is a great way to collect these threads gradually on a monthly basis or if you have been using some of them in previous years you can expand your collection by adding individual colors.

The wool threads are $7.00 each and the 60/2 cotton threads are $3.00.

I use these wonderful wool threads for all my wool appliqué, couching and machine quilting on wool and the cotton threads for needle turn appliqué.

Once you have signed up you will hear from me via email around January 1 to update you on the year’s project.
